Car and Driver magazine has launched its first iPad app which boasts a fully-interactive environment featuring in-depth car reviews, car comparison tests and award-winning automotive journalism with embedded car videos, stunning car photo galleries and up-to-the-minute automotive news feeds.
The Car and Driver app, now available on Apple's app store, is fully optimised to take advantage of the iPad's high-resolution display, the magazine said in a statement.
The app will offer subscribers high-resolution photo galleries, point-of-view and on-location videos, and interactive automotive graphics and charts.
Moreover, readers can get a real-time feed of the latest car news and also interact in the Car and Driver Backfires community.
The iPad app will also facilitate automatic download of car photos, car videos and other Car and Driver magazine content quickly and easily.
The inaugural December 2010 issue of Car and Driver's digital edition will be available as a free download. However, starting with the January 2011 issue, each issue of the iPad app will cost $2.99.
