Google has announced a deal with US satellite TV provider, DirecTV, under which the search engine company will sell ads on some of DirecTV's cable networks in the US.
The companies did not reveal the financial terms of the deal.
As part of the advertising agreement, Google TV Ads will sell advertising on channels such as Fox Business, Bloomberg, Fuel and TV Guide.
Google TV Ads is an online marketplace that enables users to buy and measure national cable television advertising.
In the last three years, the service has evolved from placing an ad on TV to a refined and specific tool for targeting and buying audiences, said Mike Steib, Director of Emerging Platforms at Google.
The deal will expand Google's reach to about 30 million satellite homes.
The internet company has been intensifying TV-advertising efforts that it began in 2007 through an agreement with Dish Network Corp.
