Facebook says Zuckerberg signature was probably 'forged'

Authenticity of contract with Ceglia remains in doubt

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg's contract with Paul Ceglia was probably "forged", the social networking site said on Friday.
Ceglia is the New York businessman who recently filed a lawsuit claiming he owns 84 per cent of Facebook.

A lawyer representing the site initially said the company was unsure whether Zuckerberg had ever signed an agreement with Ceglia, to build something called "The Face Book" in 2003 and in which Ceglia would have a stake now.

In an interview to ABC World News last week, Zuckerberg said, "I think we were quite sure that we did not sign a contract that says that they have any right to ownership over Facebook."

However, Ceglia has produced documents that appear to have Zuckerberg's signature on them.
