Sony Pictures Entertainment launched its video portal Crackle in the UK and Australia on Thursday. It features short and long television shows and movies.
The Crackle Player content is also available on multimedia sites such as YouTube, AOL, Bebo, Boxee and on Sony's web-enabled televisions.
Crackle caters to those who love movies and television shows and wish to explore new web content on video, said Eric Berger, Sony's senior vice-president of digital networks.
The portal features entertainment programmes such as the ABC comedy The Dana Carvey Show, slapstick comedy The Three Stooges, science-fiction series Max Steel and short-form series such as Star-Ving and Dusty Peacock.
