Hearst to buy digital marketing firm iCrossing

The US publishing group Hearst Corporation on Thursday announced it will acquire digital marketing agency iCrossing.

With the new acquisition, Hearst can provide services such as paid search, search engine optimisation, web development, mobile and social marketing and data analytics, Frank A Bennack, vice-chairman and CEO of Hearst Corporation said.

Hearst has formed a new unit, Hearst Marketing Services, in part to oversee iCrossing.

The publisher owns publications such as men's magazine Esquire, women's magazine Cosmopolitan and talk-show host Oprah's monthly magazine along with the daily newspaper San Francisco Chronicle.
