Microsoft revamped its MSN mobile homepage on Thursday, the Windows-maker said on the MSN blog.
MSN's new design combines user feeds from social networking site Facebook and microblogging site Twitter, along with a TrendWatch feature that highlights the most-tweeted daily topics on Twitter.
In the same blog post, members of the MSN Mobile Program Management team said the mobile homepage has been custom-made for mobile devices, thus ensuring faster downloads.
The upgraded design features tabs that remember what the user was looking at when he returns after a break. Microsoft has added several deep navigation links on the homepage, taking the total number of links to 30.
The new interface provides one-click access to Microsoft's search engine Bing, Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger. The auto-suggest feature also appears on the home page.
According to Microsoft, the new mobile homepage is accessible on approximately 40 per cent of mobile devices including the iPhone, via mobile.msn.com.
