Google launches Twitter search service
Google has launched a new Twitter archive search feature on its website.
The "replay" search feature lets users search for tweets from a specific time period. The search engine giant will roll out the new feature globally over the next few days.
To access the feature in Google search, users need to type their search term and click on the "show options" button under the search bar.
Clicking on "updates" will then show tweets at that particular time, starting with the latest displayed on top. The user can also search for tweets in the last 24 hours, one week, one month or any other specified time frame.
Currently, users can search for tweets starting 11 February 2010. Soon, the archive will allow users to search results from March 21, 2006, when the first messaged was tweeted on the microblogging site.
The United States Library of Congress has announced it will archive every single public tweet ever made.
