Social mapping service Platial closes down
The Oregon-based mapping service that allowed users to make and share their own maps shut down, with
By New Statesman Published 02 March 2010Using Google Maps API, users of Platial could put location markers on any point on the map, besides adding pictures and comments.
Platial has asked users to download their maps immediately as the service may go offline by 2 March. "We are painfully aware that this is an incredibly short amount of time to dump this on people. The only response is a sincere apology," Platial added.
