Google mulls 'education search' for students

Google is exploring the option of introducing 'education search' to help students.

Peter Norvig, director of research at Google, made the announcement while speaking at the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) West in Santa Clara.

During a presentation on Google Research, he said the search engine company is trying to understand how it can support people in the long term and not just with an instant answer through its search engine.

Google already offers Google Scholar which enables users to search for academic papers and scholarly works related to a topic.
