Google launches person finder for Chile quake-affected

Google has launched ‘Person Finder’, a new tool to help people locate friends and relatives who migh

The tool allows users to search for or post information about people in both English and Spanish. The site has two options: "I'm looking for someone" and "I have information about someone".

By Sunday morning, the page contained 22,900 records. The information on the page is accessible to everyone, although Google has stated that it does not verify the information.

The search engine has also put together a few other resources including a Google Map with earthquake information, and links to donate for Unicef and DirectRelief International.
