The survey, conducted for Microsoft Advertising, studied men between 18 and 44 across the UK.
About 25 per cent admitted checking their email and 18 per cent logging on to social networking sites on their mobile phone, before they got out of bed in the morning.
Nearly 99 per cent of young men go online every day or nearly every day and half of them already use their mobile phones to do so.
About 57 per cent of men are attached to the internet, closely followed by 49 per cent for mobile phones and 46 per cent for TV.
