Email addiction leads to dangerous, improper behaviour
Email addiction is resulting in risky or inappropriate behaviour, according to the "Mobile Messaging
By New Statesman Published 19 February 2010Released on Wednesday, the firm researched the email habits of employees. The study found that e-mail addicts check their messages at inappropriate times. About 20 per cent said they check e-mail at weddings and 15 per cent at funerals.
About 95 per cent checked their work emails outside office, 78 per cent while in the bathroom and 11 per cent during "intimate moments." The study did not detail what their partners were doing during those moments.
About 76 per cent admitted to driving while texting. Almost half said they have travelled up to 10 miles while on vacation just to check their email.
