The Dark Knight Rises: new trailer unveiled

Watch the latest trailer for the final Batman film.

A new trailer for Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, was unveiled online this morning. The promo features more footage of the film's villain Bane (Tom Hardy), who enacts havoc across downtown Gotham.

In an exchange between Batman (Christian Bale) and Bane, the former remarks, "Why don't you just kill me?" To which the sinister Bane replies, "Your punishment must be more severe."

The film, which also sees Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon), Liam Neeson (Ra's Al Ghul) and Michael Caine (Alfred) reprise their respective roles, is released on 20 July.

This movie was apparently filmed all over the world but (trivia follows):

At 1:36 and 1:54, the location with the columns is the Mellon Institute, a research institution in Pittsburgh merged into Carnegie Mellon Univ.

At 0:34, the American football stadium is Heinz Field, home of pro (Steelers) and college (Pitt Panthers) teams; named for the local company which is an international purveyor of baked beans and condiments.

Sorry - bored triva geek and former Pittsburgh resident commenting here.
