What animal would your His Dark Materials daemon be?

As Philip Pullman announces The Book of Dust, another trilogy set in the His Dark Materials worlds, find out what animal your daemon would be.

By Anna Leszkiewicz

Rejoice! This Thursday sees the release of La Belle Sauvage, the first work in Philip Pullman’s The Book of Dust triology, the follow-up novels to his His Dark Materials triology. Featuring heroine Lyra as a baby, as well as many other familiar characters, the new triology will be set both before and after the original series. The world of dust, alethiometers and, yes, daemons is back!

So what better excuse is there than to find out what form your own daemon would take? Try our highly scientific* quiz, and if you don’t like the results, remember the wise words of Jerry the Able-Seaman: “There’s plenty of folk as’d like to have a lion as a daemon and they end up with a poodle. And till they learn to be satisfied with what they are, they’re going to be fretful about it.”

*Totally speculative.
