Professor Lord Bhattacharyya Key speaker
Professor Lord Bhattacharyya is professor of manufacturing and the director of Warwick manufacturing group at the University of Warwick. He was awarded a knighthood, for services to higher education and industry, in the Queens Birthday Honours in 2003. In June 2004, Professor Bhattacharyya was elevated to the House of Lords, as Professor Lord Bhattacharyya of Moseley.

Since becoming an MP Jacqui has served on the Treasury Select Committee and was promoted to government in 1999. Since June 2003, she has been Minister of State at the Department of Trade and Industy with responsibility for Industry and the Regions. Jacqui is also Deputy Minister for Women and Equality.

John James is now chief executive of The Mary Stevens Hospice, a director of national law firm Shoosmiths, a consultant with Steel Plate and Sections Limited and a non-executive director of Intandem Films PLC. He is chairman of South Birmingham College, one of the largest further education colleges in the UK, and chairman of Solihull Sporting Club.
