It offers a range of managed care plans to individuals, as well as small, medium, and large companies primarily in Brazil. The company sells private healthcare plans covering medical and dental care. Its managed care plans include free choice healthcare, preferred provider organization, health maintenance organization, administrative services only, and dental plans. The company is one the largest MCO in Brazil serving around 3.1 million members in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Parana and Distrito Federal. Its network comprises its own delivery network, a third-party network and hospitals and ancillary services that are controlled by its shareholder. Amil Par is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

In addition, as on June 2009, it has one of the largest accredited provider network in Brazil with around 7,100 laboratories and diagnostic imaging centers; 44,200 healthcare clinics and private practices and 2,900 hospitals. The two subsidiaries of the company include Amil Assistencia Medica Internacional Ltda and Amico Saude Ltda.The company reported revenues of (Real) BRL 4,319.80 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 103.51% over 2007. The operating profit of the company was BRL 201.36 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 246.47% over 2007. The net profit of the company was BRL 160.15 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 188.23% over 2007.
