It is also involved in developing new drugs, such as QSC-001, a unique orally disintegrating tablet formulation of hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen used to treat moderate to moderately pain in patients with swallowing difficulties. The company was formed as a result of merger of Cypros Pharmaceutical Corporation and RiboGene Inc. The operating profit of the company was USD 57.58 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 167.13% over 2007.
