Action Medical Research
Action Medical Research (Action Medical) is a medical research charity engaged in helping babies and children. The company through its research helps to reduce the high rate of infant birth, prevents pregnancy complications that threaten babies lives. It is focused in three areas namely treating sick and vulnerable babies, helping disabled children and treating rare diseases in children. It supports children affected by cerebral palsy or disabling condition like juvenile arthritis, diabetes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and stroke. Action Medical through its supporting research activities tests new treatments for metabolic diseases such as Sandhoff disease, distressing and disabling conditions like Rett syndrome, and tackle rare forms of blindness and brain diseases as well as test stem cell therapy to treat brittle bones in children. The company is headquartered at West Sussex, the UK.
