Its products are focused on markets such as industrial, consumer and medical. The company has over 200 manufacturing and distribution facilities in 60 countries worldwide. It operates in three reportable segments namely, pressure-sensitive materials segment, retail information services and office and consumer products segment. Avery Dennison holds about 410 subsidiaries. In April 2008, the company acquired DM Label Group. It is headquartered in California, United States.The company reported revenues of (U.S. Dollars) USD 6,710.40 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 6.38% over 2007. The operating profit of the company was USD 270.60 million during the fiscal year 2008, a decrease of 27.90% from 2007. The net profit of the company was USD 266.10 million during the fiscal year 2008, a decrease of 12.32% from 2007.
