Samyang Corporation (Samyang), through its subsidiaries, provides various products and services in the areas of foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, feed, industrial fibers, trade and environmental engineering in Korea. The company has subsidiaries which include, Samyang Genex, Samnam Petrochemical, Samyang Kasei, Samyang Entech, Samyang Data Systems and Samyan Welfood. It also includes Samyang EMS, Seven Springs, Samyang F&D, Samyang Engineering Plastics, Samyang Research Corporation and Samyang Genex Food (Qinhuangdao) Co., Ltd. In addition to this, the company has affiliated companies, which include Huvis Corp, Jeonbuk Bank Ltd and Akina, Inc. Samyang is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.The company reported revenues of (Won) KRW 1,368,670.60 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 13.93% over 2007. The operating profit of the company was KRW 27,165.73 million during the fiscal year 2008, a decrease of 48.83% from 2007. The net loss of the company was KRW 56,027.17 million during the fiscal year 2008, as against a net profit of KRW 6,222.41 million during 2007.
