Viral Genetics, Inc. (Viral Genetics) is a publicly held biotechnology company, engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of immune based therapies using its thymus nuclear protein compound for the treatment of serious diseases and autoimmune conditions. Viral Genetics is focused on developing therapies to treat HIV/AIDS and other infectious, autoimmune, and immunological deficiency disorders. The lead product candidate of Viral Genetics is VGV-1, which is being studied in clinical trials for the treatment for HIV infection and AIDS. Recently, the company entered into exclusive license agreement with University of Colorado, to develop cancer therapies based on the work of Karen Newell. The company is headquartered in San Marino, California, the US.
