Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) is a medical diagnostic laboratory, that offers diagnostic laboratory testing, information and services that enable physicians and health-care professionals to make decisions to improve health. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alberta Health Services. The services offered by the company include mobile client services, employment related and occupational health clinical testing, pre-employment drug testing, laboratory physician consulting services and laboratory support to research projects and clinical trials. It provides comprehensive diagnostic testing in hematology, immunology, microbiology, parasitology, chemistry, cytopathology, anatomic pathology, toxicology, endocrinology, transfusion medicine, flow cytometry. CLS also performed research activities such as basic research to develop and improve diagnostic methods for detecting a variety of diseases include, cancer biology for breast cancer, melanoma, leukemia, lymphoma, tumor cytogenetics; neurosciences and stroke research. laboratory service delivery, molecular diagnostic, new technology assessment numerous ongoing clinical trials investigating new drugs, therapies and methods of treatment for patient care. In addition to these the company offers service to family practice and specialist physicians, hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical scientific researchers, corporations, and public service and government agencies. Recently, the company recently implemented a necessary software upgrade to our Laboratory Information System. CLS is headquartered at Alberta, Canada.
