House Ear Institute
House Ear Institute (HEI) is engaged in providing a range of ear-related research services. It is a non-profit organization, principally engaged in development of hearing science through research and education. It was formerly known as Los Angeles Foundation of Otology. HEI is engaged in research activities that address hearing loss, ear disease, as well as neurological interactions between the auditory system and brain. The institute is actively involved in the enhancement of auditory implants, hearing aids, diagnostics, clinical treatments, and intervention methods. HEI works in close association with medical and scientific communities as well as the general public. Further, it also provides professional education programs under the brand name Sound Partners. The institute is headquartered at Los Angeles in California, the US.
