During the year 2009, the company`s development and marketing partner, Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH received the CE Mark approval for Novabel, a cosmetic dermal filler bead. CellMed, a subsidiary of Biocompatibles, manufactures the cosmetic dermal filler bead from highly purified alginate material, using a proprietary manufacturing process.The company reported revenues of (British Pounds) GBP 17.69 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 94.23% over 2007. The operating loss of the company was GBP 3.16 million during the fiscal year 2008, as compared to an operating loss of GBP 6.18 million during 2007. The net loss of the company was GBP 0.46 million during the fiscal year 2008, as compared to a net loss of GBP 1.96 million during 2007.
