Actar AB (Actar) is a privately held drug discovery company which is principally engaged in exploring drug targets in multiple therapeutic areas resulting from academic research. The company is primarily focused in performing drug discovery research in several therapeutic areas. The company performs Screening and lead optimisation in the oncology, which include GLI, Tankyrase, PAK-4, neuroscience and infection. In addition, Actar is focused in the discovery of proprietary compounds with validated effect in relevant disease models. Actar works in collaboration with the academic researchers to perform drug discovery. Actar has partnership with several Vinnova-funded consortia as well as three EU FP7 consortia namely, Nabativi, Molpark and Metafight. Actar is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden.
