Hannover Re is a subsidiary of Talanx AG, which is wholly owned by HDI Haftpflichtverband der Deutschen Industrie V.a.G. (HDI). The company operates two business segments, namely, Non-life Reinsurance, and Life and Health Reinsurance. The Non-life Reinsurance segment operates three sub segment namely target markets, specialty lines and global reinsurance. The Life and Health Reinsurance segment includes the operations of Hannover Life Re and the international activities of the Hannover Re Group in the lines of life, health, annuity and personal accident. Hannover Re operates in 150 countries across the world through its network of more than 100 subsidiaries, and branch and representative offices. The company is headquartered in Hannover, Germany.
