The company is primarily engaged in the research & development, production and commercialization of a variety of electronic components. It is principally focused on manufacturing electrolytic capacitors. The company is consistently involved in R & D activities to produce high-end materials and electronic components. The product portfolio includes aluminum electrolytic capacitors, film capacitors and electro-mechanical products etc. It has manufacturing units in the United States, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea and Taiwan. Nippon Chemi-Con is headquartered at Tokyo, Japan.
The company also operates a network of 13 sales offices in Japan and overseas affiliates in the Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia etc to cater to regional customers.The company reported revenues of (Yen) JPY 114,578.00 million during the fiscal year ended 2009, a decrease of 19.99% from 2008. The operating loss of the company was JPY 7,495.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, as against an operating income of JPY 8,530.00 million during 2008. The net loss of the company was JPY 12,702.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, as against a net profit of JPY 2,515.00 million during 2008.
