Nesscap Co., Ltd. (Nesscap) is a ultracapacitor manufacturing company. The company was founded in 1999. It principally engages in the research & development, production and commercialization of ultracapacitor products. The Ultracapacitor is a rechargeable energy storage device in which the charge is stored electrostatically in polarized layers between an ionically conducting electrolyte and a conducting electrode. Its product portfolio includes edlc and pseudocapacitor. The company`s products are widely used in various applications such as line conditioners, UPS micro turbine generator, car audio equipment, passenger car, bus, truck, fork lift, solar lighting products hand held scanners and other.. Nesscap is headquartered at Yongin, Gyeonggi, Korea.
During March 2009, the company introduced ‘New Family` of ultracapacitor cylindrical cells. The five new cells range in capacitance from 650 farads to 3000 farads with operating voltage of 2.7 volts and standard screw or welded terminal connections. The market applications for these new products include, multiple hybrid platforms for automobiles, buses, trucks and trains, industrial telecommunications buffering and back up as well as windmill shaving and large solar energy systems.
