Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) is a US based power transmission company. The company is primarily engaged in purchasing power from generating companies and selling the electricity in bulk to the distribution companies. UETCL operates a power plant that includes Bujagali Hydro Power Plant, which has 250-megawatt power generating facility. The company also constructs and operates High Voltage Transmission Grid to transmit power from generation points onto the grid. UETCL is also involved in importing and exporting high voltage power to neighboring countries. The company distributes power generated by Aggreko International Power using diesel. UETCL is headquartered in Kampala, Uganda.
