Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation
Southwest Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation (STEMC) is a Tennessee based nonprofit electric distribution cooperative. The cooperative purchases wholesale power from the Tennessee Valley Authority. STEMC also provides installation of surge protection, grills, and electric fire places as well as provides outdoor lighting for sports fields, parking area, car dealerships, store fronts, and subdivisions. The cooperative along with Aeneas Internet and Telephone provides telephone and Internet services and with Coleman, Katolight, and ARCCO Power Systems provides back-up power systems to its members. It caters its services across 9 counties in Southwest Tennessee that include Chester, Crockett, Fayette, Hardeman, Haywood, Henderson, Madison and Tipton Counties.
