Oriel Windfarm Limited
Oriel Windfarm Limited (Oriel) is an offshore wind farm development company. The company is engaged in the high technology energy generating project, which contributes to the energy supply using wind. Its first project is the development of a wind farm in the North Irish Sea. The company intends to develop a 55 turbine wind farm, with capacity of 330 MW, in five phases of 11 turbines each in the North West Irish Sea near Dundalk. The wind farm will be able to supply power to 200,000 homes and successfully in the second phase of it turbine construction with estimated cost of EUR 623 million. The Irish government has set a target of 40 percent of electricity should come from wind energy by 2020. The project requires the installation of around 5,800 MW of renewable systems. The company is headquartered in Dundalk, Ireland.
