Bureau de recherches geologiques et minieres
Bureau de recherches geologiques et minieres (BRGM) is an institution engaged in research, project development and management of natural resources, surface and subsurface risks. The institution works on the areas such as geology, mineral resources, geothermal energy, geological storage of CO2, water, post-mining, natural risks, polluted soils and waste, metrology and information systems. In addition, the institute offers technological research and development, innovation, policy-marketing support, informing the public and safety and monitoring of former mining sites. BRGM reports to the Ministry for Higher Education and Research and the Ministry of Ecology, Energy and Sea. The institute designs semi-industrial CO2 capture and storage pilot facility in France. BRGM is located in Orleans, France.
