Winwind Power Energy Private Limited (WPEPL) is engaged in manufacturing of wind turbines. The company principally engages in offering end-to-end wind project solutions to its customers. WPEPL was incorporated as a wholly owned subsidiary of Winwind Oy, a technology leader engaged in the design, manufacture and supply of utility grade megawatt (WWD-1) and multi megawatt (WWD-3) wind turbines. WPEPL intends to reach out to markets in Asia Pacific region. WPEPL manufactures and supplies 1 to 3 megawatt wind turbines based on low speed technology. During September 2009, the company started its first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in India at Vengal, 50kms from Chennai. This state-of-the art facility will assemble and test highly reliable nacelles, hubs, and produce high quality rotor blades for global customers. The initial production capacity is 4 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) per day (12 blades) and going forward, plans to scale up to 8 WTGs (24 blades) per day. The company is headquartered in Chennai, India.

Recently, WPEPL has announced the inauguration of wind turbine plant in Finland.
