Saorgus Energy Ltd. (Saorgus), is engaged in the development of large scale wind energy projects. The company was formed in 1993, and was formally known as Western Windpower Ltd. Saorgus is also engaged in wind energy sites and wind farms development in Ireland and other parts of the country. The major projects of Saorgus are Tursillagh, Tursillagh 2, Cloghboola, Cordal, Derrybrien, Kish and Muingnaminnane in Ireland. At present, the company has over 100 MW of wind power project in development and also interested in acquiring other wind farm developments. It is headquartered at Tralee in Kerry, Ireland.
