Jimah Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd (Jimah) is a Kuala Lumpur based independent power producing company, engaged in electricity generation. The company is engaged in developing, owning and operating two coal-fired generating units located in Mukim Jimah, Daerah Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan which has a net generation capacity of 700 MW each. Jimah also connects to the National Grid through its 51 km long transmission line. The company purchases the coal required for the plant from Australia, Indonesia, China and other countries. Under a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a 25 year period, Jimah supplies its electricity to Tenaga Nasional Berhad through the generator transformers. The company is head quartered at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
