Cuddalore Powergen Corporation Limited is an Independent Power Producer (IPP). The company is principally engaged in developing of 2 × 660 MW coal based thermal power project at Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, India. Its current project is under development and it is undergoing the certification process. The company after the commissioning of the power plant, will sell all of its power to Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) on a take-or-pay basis. Cuddalore Powergen Corporation Limited has also signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with TNEB during September 2006. The company was incorporated on November 22, 1993.
