Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company
Arab Petroleum Pipelines Company (SUMED) is an oil and gas company. The company captured 80% of oil movement share from Arab gulf to Europe. SUMED is primarily involved in transportation of crude oil from Arabian gulf area to Europe in addition to a considerable volume heading for western hemisphere. In addition, SUMED owns two parallel pipelines of length 320 km and 42†diameter which connects Ain Sukhna on Red Sea to Sidi Kerir on the Mediterranean. Additionally, the company also developed various manual and automatic systems for better management of pipelines such as Hydraulic software models. Its strategic location has made it to be the most reliable, economic and secure route for transportation of crude oil between Middle East and Europe. The company is headquartered in Loran, Egypt.
