This facility comprises of an ethylene, polyethylene, propylene and polypropylene plants. It also supports cogeneration plant and receives terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG). The company extracts the ethane and the propane from the LNG and natural gas that comes on shore at Goldboro. Keltic Petrochemicals converts the ethane and propane into ethylene and propylene and further processed into polyethylene and polypropylene resin. The range of resins is marketed to various manufacturers for utilizing in the production of consumer and industrial plastic products. The company will have a production capacity of 1,450,000 tonnes per annum. Keltic Petrochemicals is headquartered in Halifax, Canada.
