Deepak Nitrite Ltd. (DNL) is engaged in manufacturing inorganic, organic and fine & specialty chemicals that are used as intermediates in various industries. The company produces Sodium Nitrate, Sodium Nitrite and is the world leader in 2,4 Xylidine and 2,6 Xylidine & is the second largest producer of DASDA. DNL in its Hyderabad Specialty Division produces DASDA, which is used in the manufacturing of Optical Brightening Agents (OBA) that is utilized in the paper, textile and detergent industry. The company has five manufacturing facilities in Western part of India, of which one plant produces Inorganic Chemicals in Gujarat and the organic and fine & specialty chemicals are produced at the other facilities as well as one of the facility is also involved in processes Hydrogenation and Reductive Alkylation. It provides products to industries that includes Pharmaceuticals, Colourants, Agrochemicals, Cosmetics, Water Treatment & Corrosion Prevention, Rubber and Refineries. DNL operates across 20 countries that includes the US, European Union & East European nations, Japan, ASEAN countries, South Korea and South America. The company through Deepak Research & Development Centre (DRDC) at Pune, is involved in R&D. It is headquartered in Gujarat, India.
