Canadian Nuclear Society
Canadian Nuclear Society (CNS) is a not-for-profit government corporation. It is an operating division of Canadian Nuclear Association and member of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC). CNS principally engages in the exchange of information in the field of applied nuclear science and technology. It covers various aspects of uranium, nuclear energy, fission and other nuclear technologies including occupational and environmental protection, medical diagnosis and treatment and food preservation. The organization membership mainly constitutes of individuals involved in the research and development activities of nuclear technology. CNS also encompasses educational institutions such as schools universities and public libraries. Further, it engages in the development and peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology. CNS operates through different branch offices and technical divisions. Its also conducts conferences and supports Canadian participation in the global exchange of nuclear-related technical information. Canadian Nuclear Society is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario,Canada.
