Roaring 40s Renewable Energy Pty Ltd (Roaring 40s) is one of the leading wind energy developers in Asia and Australia, with a large portfolio of existing wind farm projects in Australia, China and India. The company is a joint venture between Hydro Tasmania and the CLP Group. It is specialized in development, financing, investment management, construction, operations and maintenance of wind development projects. In addition, it is also involved in generation of electricity through hydro projects. Roaring 40s has built a wide portfolio of wind farms which include four wind projects in advanced development stage in Australia and further development projects in New Zealand and China. The company strategically partnered with Acciona Energy (Oceania) Pty Ltd, Enercon India Limited and Guohua Energy Investments, to establish as one of the leading renewable energy developers in Asia, with a generating capacity of 1000 MW by 2010. The company is headquartered in Tasmania, Australia.
