MTU CFC Solutions GmbH (MTU CFC) is engaged in the manufacture of high temperature fuel cells. The company is a joint venture between MTU Friedrichshafen and RWE Fuel Cells GmbH. MTU CFC Solutions is engaged in the manufacture of stationary fuel cells for generating power and heat. RWE Fuel Cells has joined MTU CFC Solutions by buying a 25.1% stake in the company. The company along with another American company Fuel Cell Energy (FCE) has installed 35 plants (Hot Modules). Its high temperature fuel cells typically generate 245 kilowatt electricity and 180 kilowatt heat (combined power and heat). MTU CFC has a manufacturing facility of 7.400 square meters employing 85 members and with over 180.000 hours of operation. The company is also focuses on the research and development activities. MTU CFC is headquartered at Ottobrunn in Munich, Germany.
