Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (Pacific Rubiales) is a Canadian based company engaged in the production of heavy crude oil and natural gas. It is focused on identifying opportunities primarily located within the eastern Llanos basin of Colombia as well as in other areas in Colombia and northern Peru. The company carries out its operations through its wholly owned subsidiary RHL. RHL has working interests in the Rubiales, Piriri and Quifa concessions and the Caguan, Dindo, Rio Seco, Puli B, La Creciente, Moriche, Guama, Arauca, Jagueyes and Tacacho blocks in Colombia and blocks 135, 137 and 138 in Peru. The company is headquartered in Ontario, Canada.The company reported revenues of (U.S. Dollars) USD 577.5 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 591.3% over 2007. The operating profit of the company was USD 146.6 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 431.2% over 2007.
