The products cater to the need of various fields namely energy generation, environment protection, telecommunications and information processing. The company conducts its operational activities through seven business segments namely fine ceramic components, electronic devices, telecommunications equipment, semiconductor components, applied ceramic products, information equipment, and others. The company is headquartered at Kyoto, Japan.
In February 2009 Kyocera Mita Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera Corporation, acquired 93.84% of shares of TA Triumph-Adler AG, a supplier of photocopying machines, printers, multifunctional systems, and fax systems.The company reported revenues of (Yen) JPY 1,128,586.00 million during the fiscal year ended March 2009, a decrease of 12.54% from 2008. The operating profit of the company was JPY 36,278.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 76.16% from 2008. The net profit of the company was JPY 29,506.00 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 72.49% from 2008.
