Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative
Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative (Mountrail-Williams Electric) is an electric utility based in the US. In 1991 Mountrail Rural Electric Cooperative and Williams Rural Electric Cooperative consolidated into a single unified cooperative, what is now Mountrail-Williams Electric. It is a non-profit cooperative. The cooperative is engaged in distributing power in the rural areas of North Dakota. At present, the cooperative provides power to more than 4,400 customers in Mountrail and Williams counties in northwestern North Dakota. Mountrail-Williams Electric owns and operates approximately 2,900 miles of overhead line and 320 miles of underground line. The cooperative buys the power from Upper Missouri Generation & Transmission Cooperative.
