Big West Oil, LLC (Big West) is a privately owned crude oil transportation company. It is a subsidiary of Flying J Inc. involved in petroleum refinery. The company is engaged in the refining of crude oil and produces petroleum products like gasoline, diesel, liquid petroleum gases, wax products and fuel. It is also engaged in marketing of finished motor fuel products in the Bakersfield and Fresno areas and supplying of gas oil products to other refiners through its subsidiary, Big West of California LLC. Its operating locations include Utah, Southern Idaho, Western Wyoming, Western Colorado and Eastern Nevada. In December 2008, Big West and its parent filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It is headquartered at Ogden in Utah, the US.
