Dairyland Power Cooperative
Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC) is an electric utility which is engaged in generating electricity and delivering it to distribution cooperatives and municipal utilities in the Upper Midwest region of the US. It provides wholesale electrical requirements and other related services to 25 electric distribution cooperatives and 16 municipal utilities spread across 62 counties located in the states of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois in the US. These cooperatives in turn supply electricity to consumers and fulfill the energy requirements of around 600,000 people.
The net generating capacity of the company is 1,421 MW. DPC owns and operates transmission lines of over 3,111 miles and 280 substations in a service area of 44,500 square miles. The company utilizes coal, hydro, natural gas, wind, landfill gas and methane for generating electricity. DPC provides service in 62 counties across Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Illinois. The company is headquartered in Wisconsin, the US.
