The New Zealand Refining Company Ltd. (NZRC) is an oil refinery company. It is engaged in the provision of refined petroleum products. The product portfolio of the company cosnists of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and other products. NZRC focuses on processing wide range of crude oil types imported from offshore markets and Taranaki, and producing motor gasoline, automotive and marine diesel, aviation and lighting kerosene, fuel oils and bitumens to the New Zealand market. The company also operates approximately 170 kilometers refinery to Auckland pipeline, which carries diesel, petrol, and jet fuel from the refinery to the Wiri terminal in South Auckland. The major customers of the company namely, BP, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Emerald Capital and Chevron. NZRC is headquartered in Whangarei, New Zealand.The company reported revenues of (N.Z. Dollars) NZD 397.83 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 17.59% over 2007. The operating profit of the company was NZD 178.45 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 18.94% over 2007. The net profit of the company was NZD 124.90 million during the fiscal year 2008, an increase of 11.09% over 2007.
