The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited (Bangchak) is engaged in the refining of crude oil and marketing of finished oil products. The company distributes oil through its networks and market channels to its customers. In addition, it operates service stations for the sale of consumer goods and provides lubricant services. In 2008, the company operated its oil refinery business with maximum crude processing capacity of 120,000 barrels per day. Bangchak`s products are distributed through 515 standard services stations and 550 community service stations. It principally operates in Thailand. The company is headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand.The company reported revenues of (Baht) THB 129,292.84 million during the fiscal year ended December 2008, an increase of 35.47% over 2007. The operating loss of the company was THB 1,109.01 million during the fiscal year 2008, as against an operating income of THB 2,667.22 million during 2007. The net loss of the company was THB 750.09 million during the fiscal year 2008, as against a net profit of THB 1,763.76 million during 2007.
