Institute of Food Research (IFR) is focused in offering agricultural and food science research services. The institute is mainly engaged in addressing the needs of obesity and healthy ageing by defining the relationship between food, diet and health. It provides science for business and technology transfer. It offers short term research, industrial research partnerships, knowledge transfer, IFR “Spin-out” companies, intellectual property management, applied troubleshooting, training and advise, specialist analysis, on-site auditing, IFR exploitation platforms. IFR links research in the area of food science, diet and health between the major Universities / Institutes and Research Associations in the UK, Europe and worldwide. In addition, IFR is an institute for Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). IFR is headquartered in Norwich, the UK.
